I'm just starting to really get into bolt action rifles on WAW after owning it up with other classes. But to my horror I realised I have to unlock the scopes :O
In your oppinion, which is the best rifle for me to focus my efforts on. Also---before you have the scope do you hang back and try and pick them off? Do you run & gun (is it ever safe to hipfire)? What's the best strategy? I tried hanging back with the Mosin-Nagant on Seelow but found it hard to see anything from a distance. When I got in range of people I would then have to compete with those who have scopes.

I think the Arisaka with the scope is definitely the best bolt action, besides the PTRS of course. I use the Arisaka all the time and I get great kills with it. Every once in awhile it take two shots to kill for some reason, but most of the time it's a one shot.
